Chris Chu is the Co-Founder + Co-Owner at Freedom Design + Build, Inc.

Chris Chu has 13 years of experience in the design + build industry. He got his Bachelors of Science Degree in Architecture from the School of Architecture at the University of Virginia. 

While in school, he found a passion for studying landscape architecture and the application of healing gardens in modern hospitals.

Prior to co-founding Freedom Design + Build, Inc. with Tyler Tappan, Chris started his career working at two of the premier design build firms in the region, Sun Design Remodeling and Moss Building and Design.

He loves the technical side of building and maintaining a company which strives to serve our clients, employees, and community. He also loves designing major remodels and custom homes.

In his free time, Chris loves going on hikes with his wife, Tra, and dog, Bucky, and going snowboarding.

One fun fact about Chris is that he is a dual Brazilian and US citizen!

If Chris could have any superpower it would be to control gravity.
